Re: What is the eligibility criteria to apply for CAT examination 2019 session?
The minimum education required to apply for CAT (Common Admission Test) is a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PH category.
So, having managed just 43% marks in your graduation degree course, you are not eligible to apply for CAT. For more details and updates regarding CAT 2019, you can refer to the link www.iimcat.ac.in. |

Re: What is the eligibility criteria to apply for CAT examination 2019 session?
CAT stands for Common Admission Test and it is held by various IIMs following a rotation policy for offering admission in MBA or PGDM courses across IIMs and other top business schools of India.
The basic qualification required to appear in CAT is a bachelor degree course in any stream with the minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PwD category candidates. So, having completed your B.Com degree with just 43% marks, you are not eligible for appearing CAT. Also, the application charges for CAT is subject matter of revision and cannot be mentioned unless the official notification for CAT 2019 is made available. Last year the application fee was Rs 1900 for all candidates except for those who belong to SC/ST and PwD candidates as for these candidates the application fee is exempted to Rs 950. For more updates regarding CAT 2019, you can refer to the website www.iimcat.ac.in. |
