What is the eligibility criteria for District Agriculture Officer?


Sir, I want to be a District Agriculture Officer. So, please tell me about the educational requirements and procedure to apply for it? Is there any entrance? If yes, then please share the entrance details and what is the pay scale of District Agriculture Officer?

To become a district agriculture officer you need a B.sc(Agriculture) degree. Every state of India recruits agriculture officer but each state conducts different entrance examination to recruit agricultural officer. Pay scale is different for each state. But the average pay scale is 30,400 .

To become DAO ( District Agriculture Officer ) the required educational qualification is bachelor degree from a recognised university.

Candidates have to appear and qualify in state PCS examination and qualify in all the stages of examination for the final selection.

The examination is conducted in three stages. So, you can apply for the examination. The pay scale 9300-34800.
