How can i join in indian airforce?pls tell me the procedure and entrance examination details?

You have to apply CDS exam to join Indian Air force.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year

Through CDS exam, you can take admission in:-
Indian Military Academy

Navel Academy

Air force Academy

Officer Training Academy

Education :

Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy :

you must have completed your Degree in any stream with minimum percentage of marks from any recognized college or board.

Indian Air Force :

you must have Bachelor Degree in Engineering or B.Sc with Physics or Mathematics as your main subjects with minimum marks from any recognized university.

Indian Naval Academy :

you must have completed your Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Degree in Physics or Mathematics as your main subjects with minimum marks from any recognized university.


AGE LIMIT;-
Indian Military Academy: 19-24yrs.
Naval Academy: 19-22yrs.
Air Force Academy: 19-23yrs.
Officers Training Academy: 19-25yrs.

Scheme of Examination for CDS ;-

Indian Military Academy / Naval Academy / Air Force Academy

All the papers are of objective type.

English =100 marks

General Knowledge=100 Marks

Elementary Mathematics=100 Marks

Officer's Training Academy

All the papers are of objective type.

English=100 Marks

General Knowledge=100 Marks.

After Clearing this Written exam,you will be called for SSB interview.

There is last stages of Medical test.

You are Roopa belong to female category then sorry to say though you have completed your 12th with PCM you are not eligible to join in Indian AIR FORCE wing through NDA entrance exam.conducted by UPSC.

AS your background is PCM in 12th after Graduation female staff can apply for CDS(combined defence service)entrance exam.But there is age bar you are to join
within the age of 22 years.

For this purpose you must visit http://www.upsc.gov.in to know details of the exam.

After LLB if you want to join Indian Air Force you can apply for AFCAT exam. AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test.

This recruitment is for three branches in Indian Air Force :

• Technical
• Flying
• Ground Duty

But LLB candidates can only apply for Ground Duty Branches. So, you can't apply for technical and flying branch.

Candidate must have secured minimum 60% aggregate in LLB.

Age Limits :
For LLB candidates ( Five years ) age must be from 20 to 25 years.
For LLB candidates ( Three years after Graduation ) age must be from 20 to 26 years.

Procedure to apply :
Candidates can apply on their official site that is : http://www.careerairforce.nic.in/

Selection Procedure :

• Written Exam
• SSB Interview
• Medical Test

Candidate have to first appear for written exam after completion of registration process. Written exam consists of objective type questions.

After passing written exam candidate have to appear for SSB Interview. After clearing SSB Interview candidate will be called for Medical test. This will be the last stage of selection procedure.

Don't worry i will tell you the procedure and entrance exam details of Indian Air Force Examination. Here, there are different types of entrance examination available for candidates. For Intermediate, you have to appear for NDA Exam. Intermediate with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years for NDA Examination.

For graduate, you have to appear for CDS Exam. Gradation with mathematics at intermediate level from a reputed college or university. Age should be between 19 years to 24 years. If you have a maths subject at intermediate level definitely you are eligible to apply. Otherwise, you are not eligible to apply.

To apply for this examination, you must have a good physically fitness and mental fitness. Don't think physical fitness is not important. Physical fitness plays vital role in the selection process of Indian Air Force.

Indian Air Force is one of the defence forces of India. To join in this force there are entrance exams which you need to apply according to the qualification which you possess. According to your qualification the entrance exams which you can apply are:

# CDS (Combined Defence Service)

# AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)


The qualification needed for joining in Indian Air Force through CDS is:

>> Candidate should have a Citizenship in India.

>> Age limit needed is 19-24 years

>> Educational qualification needed is candidate should have completed a Degree from a recognized university.


The AFCAT exam offers candidates to join in 3 branches of Air Force such as:

• Technical Branch
• Flying Branch
• Ground Duty

Regarding the qualification of yours, you can apply for Ground Duty branch. The qualification needed are:

>> Candidate should have a Citizenship in India.

>> Age limit needed is 20-27 years of age.

>> Educational qualification needed is a Degree from a recognized university in any stream with at least 60% aggregate.


If you satisfy the criteria's for the respected exam, then you can apply for them.

Hello sir, i have done with my 12th ARTs and now m deciding to do BA LLB from so can i joint in IAF ?

Hi I'm a student in 12th and i want IAF flying branch. Can i join IAF flying branch through bls LLB? Plus I'm a girl so I've to graduate and need to give AFCAT. But is it possible through bls llb for flying branch?
