There isn't any specific course which you need to pursue to be considered eligible for Indian Police Service. To join Indian Police Service as an Officer, you will have to crack Civil Service Examination and a graduate in any discipline is considered eligible to write the examination provided she/he is within the age limit of 21-30 years.

The Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and comprise of three stages:

Preliminary Examination
Main Examination
Interview

The first two stages of the Civil Service Examination, i.e. Preliminary Exam and the Main Exam are written examinations and qualifying each of these stages is mandatory to move on to the next level. Candidates who successfully qualifies all the three stages of Civil Service Examination are considered eligible to join Indian Police Service as well as other Civil Services depending upon the performance and preferences of the candidates.

The Examination is conducted once a year and the notification for the same is published on the official website of Union Public Service Commission as well as in India's major newspapers. In order to keep yourself updated, you may refer to the official website of Union Public Service Commission.
