A biotechnologist may specialize in product development and manufacturing, medical field or agricultural field by pursuing P.hd. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Plant Science, Animal Science, Biology etc.
A qualified biotechnologist usually works in hospitals and research facilities, government agencies, private food or animal production companies, pharmaceutical companies or even food processing plants depending upon their expertise
In India, the starting salary of a biotechnologist may be anything around Rs.25000-42000.
