PCS stands for the Punjab Civil Service. This exam is conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission every year for the following posts:

• Punjab Civil Service - Executive Branch
• Excise & Taxation Officer
• Deputy Superintendent of Police
• Deputy Superintendent of Jail
• Conciliation Officer

Candidates with at least bachelor degree in hand from any discipline are eligible to sit for this examination.

Final year candidates are also applicable.

For PCS i.e. Punjab Civil Services, the eligibility is:

Age: you must be between 21 to 38 years of age on 1st January of the year of applying for the exam (The exact is always mentioned in the notification).
In the case of Punjab Police Service/Punjab Prisons Service, you should be between 21 to 28 years of age.
There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/BC and there are other relaxations for govt employees, widows, physically handicapped etc.

Education: You must be a graduate for the exam and if you are in final year, you can appear in Pre, but have to show proof of passing degree in Mains. There is not percentage criteria but a graduate degree is must.

Eligibility Criteria for PCS :

Nationality : Candidate must be
->Citizen of India
->Citizen of Nepal
->Subject of Bhutan
->Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January, 1962.

Age Limits : Age of candidate must be between 21 to 37 years.
But for the post of Deputy Superintendent Police maximum age is 28 years.

Age relaxation is also provided as per government norms. Age relaxation is as follows :

->SC/ST Candidate : 5 years
->OBC Candidates : 3 years

Educational Qualifications :

Height for Men : 5 feet 7 inches
Height for Women : 5 feet 3 inches
