Details About IAS:

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service,this is one of the Indian Civil Service exam.UPSC conducts this exam and it is conducted for candidates to join in for the post of IAS officer.

As asked for the information regarding the minimum height required for IAS,there is nothing regarding Physical Standard for the IAS exam.

The physical standard is only for IPS as per the Indian Civil Services exam.There are certain other criteria's which are needed to be satisfied in order to apply for the IAS exam and they are:

> Nationality

> Age Limit

> Education Qualification

Requirements Needed:

Nationality:

~ The candidate should be a citizen of India

Age Limit:

~ For General :21-30 years

~ For SC/ST : 21-35 years

~ For OBC :21-33 years

~ For Ex-service men : 5 years exception from the prescribed limits

Education Qualification:

~ The candidate should have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

~ Even Final year candidate it eligible to apply for the exam


You only need to satisfy these above mentioned criteira's for the IAS Exam to be written.

Information About IAS Exam :

IAS stands for indian administration service and this is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination and this is inviting the application every year in that month of November and exam conducted in May month.

Required Eligibility :

>> You must be citizen of indian

>> You must completed the any graduation from recognized university and here not required any percentage.

>> Minimum age limit should be 21 years and maximum age limit should be 30 years,

>> Upper age limit for OBC candidates 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates,

>> You can attempt only 4 times, if you are OBC candidate 7 times and no limit for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Procedure :

For become a IAS officer, selection procedure is based on following examination conducted by the UPSC.

>> Preliminary Examinations,
>> Main Examination,
>> Interview.

There is no such physical requirement such as Height to qualify for IAS.

I.A.S/I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once on a year..

QUALIFICATION:- Graduation with any stream from recoginised university..
Candidates who have passed the final year of MBBS or any Medical Examination
but are yet to complete the internship can also appear for the Main Examination


AGE LIMIT:-
A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over
30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

Educational qualification criteria:
Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects.
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology
or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification

Age Criteria:
21 to 30 years.

Total no. of attempts are:
Four
Seven for OBC
No limits for SC / ST

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year through Civil Service Exam.So you must attend in CSAT exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree or final year of graduation degree from recognized board are applicable for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. for OBC candidate it is 7 times and for general candidate it is 5 times.

You must have citizenship of India.

Civil Service examination can be divided as three stages.
Preliminary
Main exam
Interview
Your height is 5ft 3 inch so you are not applicable for IAS exam because the minimum height requirement is 5 ft 6inch.


So don't worry you can try for others UPSC and SSC exam.

General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization
General Science.

Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level)
Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)
English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

The interview test is the last stage of Recruitment process of Indian Administrative services. The Interview also has 300 marks.
