I have done my PGDM and received the degree from my college. I want to pursue examinations for Custom House Agent-CHA. Am I eligible for giving the exam? If yes, what should I do next? How and when to apply for it?

Essential conditions required for Custom House Agent Examination:

<> You should be a graduate from a recognized university.
<> You should be pass in Form 'G' as an employee of the firm or company.
<> You should have three years of experience customs-clearance work.
<> You should have bank-certified assets of Rs.5 lakhs.
<> You must have knowledge of local language & proficiency on Hindi.

Custom House Agent Examination consists of two papers. (1) Oral Exam (2) Written Exam. Written Exam is conducted on 5th September every year.

After clearing the examination, you will get license of CHA (Custom House Agent).

License Validity
-Temporary: 1 Year
-Regular: 10 Years
After Validity, You require to renew the license.
