I am in 6th semester B.E right now and have a backlog from 5th semester. However the supplementary exams for this will be held sometime after 7th sem starts. Placements start from beginning of 7th sem and the supplementary results will release 2-3 months after 7th semester starts. What are my chances of getting placed with one active backlog at the start of campus placements? (assuming i clear them in the supplementary, mid of 7th sem)

If a candidate has backlog at time of campus placement then you might not be allowed to sit in campus placement for few companies like TCS, Infosys etc but again it depends on company criteria.

If you have backlog but you are good at communication and smart enough to handle any interview, then there are chances of you getting selected irrespective of your grades and backlog.
