Quote:
1)self-confidence 2)determination 3)hard-work 4)make good grades, especially on the SAT or ACT 5)Minimum degree requirement for an astronaut is a bachelor's from an accredited institution. 6)Once you got your degree and some work experience, fill out a Standard Form 171(government employment application) and send it to Astronaut Selection Office, NASA Johnson Space Center,Houston,TX 77058. 7) NASA receives an average 4015 applications to fill around 20 slots every 2 years. 8)Next they will call you for screening. |

you need to be a citizen of a country that has both the resources and long term plans for a manned space program .. that means China, or possibly, an outside chance, India ...

Re: What are the necessary qualification to become an Astronaut?
Of Course, your plan is really good. However, pursue the B Tech program in a recognized institute. Also, try to score really high marks. Then only you will be eligible to apply for the NASA jobs. Getting a career in NASA is not as easy as you think. Strive wholeheartedly in a systematic manner to get an employment in NASA. Moreover, you need to carry out the PhD program after completing the Masters’ course. It seems like you wish to be a pilot. If you want to become a pilot, you have to undergo at least 1000 hours’ pilot training. In addition, you should pass the physical standards of fitness
