Hello Sir, if I got the 18 marks in Physics theory and 20 in practical can I pass the class 11th exam? I'm studying from a school affiliated to CBSE Board. What is the passing criteria in other Science group papers?

For passing in Physics paper or any science group paper of CBSE Class 11th or 12th, you are required to manage at least 23 marks out of 70 marks in theory paper while 10 marks out of 30 marks in practical paper separately.

So, by managing 18 marks in your theory paper of Class 11th Physics, you are not eligible for promotion to Class 12th under normal circumstances.

This could be very frustrating for you. However, you need to worry. It happens in school to fail or to give less marks in your 9th standard or 11th standard so that you can focus more on your 12 marks.

All those subjects which have practical involved and is of 100 marks. You need to score 23 in theory and 10 in practical.

All those subjects which have no practical exam then you need to score 33 marks to pass the examination.
