Hi, could please tell me about the pay scale of Deputy Central Intelligence Officer (DCIO)? What are facilities and amenities are provided by the Government?

Pay scale is Level 10 in the pay matrix. The government facilities include there shall be social identity where the candidate work for Intelligence Bureau and they may get government quarters for stay and government facilities in terms of Insurance, medical aid, PF and Pension requirements.

joined IB as ACIO-II in 2019 and my salary of Feb,2020 is as such-

Below are the entitlements:

Basic-46200; DA-7854; HRA-3696; TPA-2106; SSA-9240; SCA- 2100; GOVT NPS-7568; RATION ALLOWANCE- 3401, HSA- 5544—- TOTAL=87709,

Now the deductions:

EMPP NPS- 5405; HEC-1041; GIS- 30; GOVT NPS- 7568; IBRF- 150—-TOTAL- 14194.

NET PAY- Rs. 73515 (In hand)

As NPS also goes into your retirement which will come to you only in future. Also there are other benefits like travel allowance, entertainment money etc per month which are not reflected in salary slip.

Deputy Central Intelligence Officer salary is very good. The pay scale is in the range between 67,000-85,000 per month as per the 7th-grade pay Commission.

After successful completion of the recruitment process, the selected candidate will be appointed in Level-10 and he or she will be eligible for the 7th CPC pay matrix of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500
