AIEEE was replaced by JEE Main in 2013 onwards for admission to degree engineering. For PwD reservation in JEE Main, reservation criteria is considered as per RPwD act, 2016. As per section 2(r) in RPwD act, 2016, persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD) means a person with not less than 40% of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms. Also from 2019, persons with disability more than 40% will get extra 20 minutes per hour to complete tests.

Categories of Specified Disabilities
- Blindness and Low Vision
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Locomotor Disability
- Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specified Learning Disability and Mental Illness
- Multiple Disability from amongst persons under clauses (i) to (iv).
- Other specified disabilities mentioned in the schedule of the RPwD act, 2016.

JEE Main Exam Pattern
- Number of Question : 90
- Total Marks : 360
- Exam Duration : 3 Hours (for normal students) & 4 Hours for disability persons.
