What is the procedure to join Indian Army? I am doing B.E Mechanical


now am doing be mechanical, comin may i finished my be, after what the procedure to join indian army, what exam i will written like cds, tgs etc, what the differt between the exams

HI Friend.................

If you are interested to Join in Indian Army,

There are two way to Join in Indian Army i.e.

Through NDA

and

Through CDS

I can give you information about NDA and CDS

NDA - Stands for National Defence Academy

This Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly twice i.e.

NDA - I

and

NDA - II

NDA have three wings i.e.

Indian Air Force

Indian Army

Indian Navy

Required Eligibility Criteria for NDA EXamination

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a 12th standard with PCM (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) subjects from any recognized institution

There is no percentage required for this examination

Age Limit

Candidates age should between 16.5 years to 19 years

There is no age relaxation for this examination

Nationality

Candidates should be a citizen of India

Marital Status

Candidate should be a citizen of India

Selection Procedure

Written Examination

Medical Test

Personnel Interview

Physical Standard for NDA Examination





Examination Pattern




CDS Exam stands for Combined Defence Service Exam.

The required eligibility criteria for CDS Exam is as follow:

Candidate must be citizen of India.
Must be in the age limit of 19-25 years.
Must have a degree in any discipline.
Must be physically and medically fit.

CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

Scheme of recruitment process:
Written exam of objective type
SSB Interview
PET and Medical Examination.

As you are pursing B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, after completion of which you are eligible to join Indian Army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II.

The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Army of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fees for the exam.

The selection is through written Exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

After completion of your bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering ,you will have two options for joining Indian army .They are discussed as below:

The best option for you will be to go for the CDS examinations.

Let me tell you the necessary details about CDS exams which are as below:

CDS stands for the Combined defense services examinations .This is examinations is conducted twice every year by the Union Public service commission.

Eligibility criteria:

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.Final year canidates are also eligible to apply for the examinations.

>>For INA and AFA ,you must have mathematics and physics in 10+2.

The age limitations are :

Indian Military academy:19-24 years

Air force academy:19-23 years

Indian Naval academy:19-22 years

Officer's training academy:19-25 years

>>Both male and female candidates are allowed to appear for this exam.

>>You must be physically and mentally fit.

The second option for you is to give University Entry scheme examinations which will help you to join the Indian army

You will shortlisted on the basis of marks of your bachelor's degree and then you will have to give SSB .

There are different ways to join indian army after graduation.You can join by applying for the below given exams and schemes.


1. University entry scheme 19-25

2. technical graduate entry scheme for engineering graduates.

3.Final and pre final year be/b tech students campus interview ssb

4. Engineering graduates in the age group 20-27 engineering degree in notified discipline direct ssb interview .

Now the difference between cds and tgs are:

1.cds(combined defence services)

This exam is conducted twice in a year by upsc,cds i will be held in the month of february and cds ii in the month of september..Notification will be available in the month of april-june and october-november.

2.tgc(technical graduate course)

Apply as per the notification by upsc and call letter for ssb is being dispatched on the basis of your %age in your graduation
