Re: What is the procedure of LLB after B.Com
If you have completed graduation then should apply for the 3 years LLB. Do not get confused and attempt to take admission for 5 years LLB. This course is not for you since you have completed graduation.
The 5 years LLB, also referred as BA LLB, includes a bachelor's degree. Which is why one can take admission for it directly after completing 12th standard. But the procedure for LLB 3 years is different. You are required to complete graduation before applying for it. Since you have completed graduation there are couple of options in front of you to take admission. First is the admission by appearing for entrance exam. Some reputed colleges offer admission for LLB 3 years through entrance exam. The list of such colleges include Banaras Hindu University and the Delhi University. On the other hand you have some colleges that offer direct admission on merit. There are several such colleges mainly in Maharashtra such as Government Law College in Mumbai. The criteria for LLB changes from college to college because there is no common entrance exam. Please check below. LLB Eligibility 1. You should have a graduation degree. 2. 50 percent marks required if applying in DU. 3. Several colleges accept candidates with 45 percent marks. 4. There is 5% relaxation for SC and ST. 5. In DU, there is no percentage criteria for SC and ST. 6. The upper age limit is 30 years for the course. 7. There is 5 years relaxation in upper age limit for SC and ST. |
