After B.Com, you can definitely pursue LLB course. Graduates from a recognized university can apply for LLB course. Candidates should score 50% marks in qualifying examination to apply for LLB course. Reserved category candidates need to obtain 45% marks in graduation level. CLAT is the qualifying examination which you need to appear to join LLB course. You need to qualify in this entrance exam with a good score. On the basis of this score you can apply for LLB courses in reputed Law Institutes or Universities. One can pursue LLB either as a regular course or on part time basis. Some of the reputed Institutes which offer part time LLB courses are - National Law School Delhi, Cochin University, National Law School in Bangalore, Bharati Vidyapeeth University etc. These Institutes conduct their own individual entrance exams to select candidates in to LLB courses.

If you have completed graduation then should apply for the 3 years LLB. Do not get confused and attempt to take admission for 5 years LLB. This course is not for you since you have completed graduation.

The 5 years LLB, also referred as BA LLB, includes a bachelor's degree. Which is why one can take admission for it directly after completing 12th standard. But the procedure for LLB 3 years is different.

You are required to complete graduation before applying for it. Since you have completed graduation there are couple of options in front of you to take admission.

First is the admission by appearing for entrance exam. Some reputed colleges offer admission for LLB 3 years through entrance exam. The list of such colleges include Banaras Hindu University and the Delhi University.

On the other hand you have some colleges that offer direct admission on merit. There are several such colleges mainly in Maharashtra such as Government Law College in Mumbai.

The criteria for LLB changes from college to college because there is no common entrance exam. Please check below.

LLB Eligibility

1. You should have a graduation degree.

2. 50 percent marks required if applying in DU.

3. Several colleges accept candidates with 45 percent marks.

4. There is 5% relaxation for SC and ST.

5. In DU, there is no percentage criteria for SC and ST.

6. The upper age limit is 30 years for the course.

7. There is 5 years relaxation in upper age limit for SC and ST.
