IAS eligibility qualification.

The minimum age for appearing for the Civil Service Preliminary examination is 21 years and the upper age limit is 30 years. The minimum qualification is graduation in any discipline from a recognised Indian University or an equivalent qualification. There is a relaxation for SC/ST candidates on the number of attempts, if they are otherwise eligible.

Hi..

IAS is another UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) entrance examination which is conducted every year for the recruitment of the IAS officers at various levels, ranks, etc.
This stands for the Indian Administrative Services !

As you may know this is the most reputed and prestigious exam in the country and also in the world. It is said that the IAS Officers are the world's most knowledgeable people.
So there is a lot of hard work, dedication, determination and sacrifice behind their success.

Now this exam is conducted but first you need to meet the minimum Eligibility Criteria's for this which are laid by the government of India. They are :-

1. You should be a minimum graduate in ANY Discipline from one of the recognized colleges or universities in India.
2. You should be an Indian National.
3. The age limit for the IAS is 21-30 years for the GEN, 21-33 years for the OBC and 21-35 years for the SC/ST.
4. Also the number of allowed attempts are : 4 for GEN, 7 for OBC and Unlimited for the SC/ST.
