Graduation is the qualification required for IPS exam. Degree exam must be passed with 50% marks. For IPS position, you must satisfy certain physical standards specified. Only after Physical test, candidates are selected to the position. Detailed information can be collected from CSAT notification.

hi,
civil services exam is conducted by upsc every year for recruitment to various posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS etc. the pattern of thus exam is as below-


preliminary - general studies & CSAT


main- general studies (two papers), two optional subjects(two paper each), essay, english grammar , one Indian language.

interview.

eligibility- graduation from any stream and age between 21 to 30 years for general candidates.

students in final year of graduation are also eligible for this exam.


you should be very dedicated, and should make a habit of reading news papers, magazines etc, this will help you in tackling general studies. for other subjects you can prefer the ncert books from 9th class to 12th class. you can also join some coaching institute.

The Word IPS Stands for Indian Police Services.

The IPS Exam is better known as the Civil Services Examination which is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The Qualifications Required for IPS Exam are :

* you must have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized college/university.

* your age must come under the barcket of 21-30 years.

* There is a relaxation in upper age of 3 years for OBC Candidates and of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

* you must be a citizen of India.

* Physical eligibility :



The Examination is conducted in three phases :

a) Preliminary Exam

b) MAINS Exam

c) Interview Test

IPS or the Indian Police Service is one of the most prestigious services in India at par with or next only to the IAS. Along with IAS, IFS (Indian Forest Service), the IPS is also an All India Service (AIS) so the person selected for the IPS may have to serve in any part of the country.
The IPS Exam is part of the Civil Services Exam conducted by the UPSC and depending on your preferences and the rank you secure, you will be allotted the IPS


IPS Exam Eligibility:--->

You should be eligible for appearing for the IPS exam and after clearing the mains and while appearing for the physical tests during the interview stage you should meet all the physical test.and other requirements as mandated.
So if you fulfill the criteria for civil services exams you, by default, qualify for IPS exams as well. To be eligible for the civil services exams:

You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age (various relaxations are available for different categories i.e ST/SC/OBC/PD).
You must a graduate in any discipline form recognized Universities.
Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for the IAS and IPS Preliminary examination provided they furnish their proof of degree while filling the Mains form.



Physical eligibility:-
Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis, Nagaland Tribals etc.)
Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.
Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service, to become an IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted every year by UPSC.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good physical Fitness.

The candidate applying for IPS should have minimumprescribed physical requirement such as:-

HEIGHT:- General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST - Male should be 84cm and Female 79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

To apply for the Indian Police Service, you will have to appear for the Civil Service Examination. For that the education criteria is graduation degree. Once you have completed graduation you are eligible for the Indian Police Service.

However there are some physical requirements that are also needed to be met. If you can also meet physical requirements then you would be able to apply for the Indian Police Service without any trouble.


Eligibility

1. Only Indian citizens can apply for IPS.

2. A bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university.

3. There is no criteria for percentage.


Age Limit

1. General - 21 to 30 years.

2. OBC - 21 to 33 years.

In order to get into IPS, you will have to give the civil service exam conducted by the upsc.
The qualifications you need to appear for the civil services is That you should be a graduate from any stream or in final year of graduation from any recognized university of India.
And your age should be more then 21 years and less than 30 years.

There are three All India Services in India –

Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
Indian Police Service (IPS)
Indian Forest Service (IFS).

IPS exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.

To appear in IPS exam you must have graduate degree from recognise university.

Age should be minimum 21 years and maximum 30 year for general.For OBC age should be 33 year and 35 year for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen.Four attempts for open, seven for OBC and no limit for SC/ST.

Physical Standard:-

Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm.
Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm
Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

Information Regarding IPS Examination :-

IAS- Indian Administration service is one of the examination which is conducetd by the UPSC.UPSC conducts this examination every year.

To be eliogible for this examination you should be qualified in under graduation in any stream with good percentage from recognized university .

Also the Aspirant's age should be 21 to 30 years and relaxation relation period is given to the Aspirant's like sc/st candidate for 5years i.e. they can apply for this examination up to 35 years, and for obc candidates it is 3 years i.e. they can apply for 33 years.Handicapped and widow candidates get the relaxation by 10 years .

General candidates eligible to write the attempt for 4 times and obc and other backward candidates for 7 times and there is no limit of sc/st candidate .

UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducting the IPS exam once in a year.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

The complete details about IPS exam are given below you can go through the details.


Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate must be an indian origin.

The candidate must be complete Graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Percentage is not important to apply the IPS exam.

So you can apply at any percentage in your graduation.


Age criteria:-

-->21 to 30 years For General category candidates,

--> 21 to 33 years For OBC candidates,

-->21 to 35 years For SC/ST candidates.

Selection process:-

Civil services preliminary exam,

Civil services mains exam,

Personal interview.

IAS- Indian Administration service is one of the examination which is conducetd by the UPSC.UPSC conducts this examination every year.

To be eliogible for this examination you should be qualified in under graduation in any stream with good percentage from recognized university .

Also the Aspirant's age should be 21 to 30 years and relaxation relation period is given to the Aspirant's like sc/st candidate for 5years i.e. they can apply for this examination up to 35 years, and for obc candidates it is 3 years i.e. they can apply for 33 years.Handicapped and widow candidates get the relaxation by 10 years .

General candidates eligible to write the attempt for 4 times and obc and other backward candidates for 7 times and there is no limit of sc/st candidate .*

5.Before applying in this examination , you should follow the following things
6.Your age Must be lie in between 21 to 30years
7.For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for SC/ST there is no limit to attempt
8.If you are from the SC/ST Category then you will get the age relaxation by 5 years

Hi Aspirant

IPS : Means Indian Police Service and also one of top rated post of the country because the IPS Officer is the head of a district level police so we can expect about the importance of this nice post.

Well for the IPS Post the upsc department is conducting a exam with the name cse means civil services exam and under this exam the IPS As well as posts like IAS Coming under but you will get the posts according to the merit list means you will get good post if you get good marks.

Qualifications Required for the IPS Post :

Education :

-The Student should be pass in the graduation degree

-The Student of the final year are also allowed for the exam

-Or should be pass in any equivalent degree to the graduation.

Age :

-The age required for the exam is minimum 21 and maximum 30

-But for the obc it is 21-33 and for the sc,st 21-35

Attempts :

-Their is 4 attempts allowed to the general candidates

-Their is 7 attempts allowed to the obc candidates

-their is unlimited attempts allowed to the sc,st

Citizen :

-Indian

Eligibility For IPS
Candidate must be graduate in any stream from recognized university
age of the candidate is 21 to 30 year,
3year age relaxation for OBC and 5 year relaxation for SC/ST candidate
candidate should be Indian
Attempt limit
For General candidate- 4 attempt
OBC- 7 Attempt
SC/ST - no limit

CIVIL SERVICES EXAM
After graduation you can apply for I.P.S exam.
I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-37 year.

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam
