If you want to get selected in IIT BOMBAY WITH good branch as COMPUTER SCIENCE,AERONAUTICAL,MECHANICAL,ELECTRONICS then you have to bring under2000(AIR FOR OBC) rank .If u want civil,MTECH DUAL DEGREE COUSE,BIO TECHNOLOGY etc. then you can get these branches upto 3200.......

The eligibility criterion to apply for the IIT:

JEE and AIEEE is a pass in the intermediate course. Those from science with Mathematics background can apply. The percentage requirement for the IIT JEE is 60% marks. There is 5 % relaxation in marks for SC/ST and PWD candidates. However, the percentage requirement is only 50% for the AIEEE test. For SC/ST/OBC/PH aspirants, it is 40% marks in their XII. Aspirants should not be above 24 years of age in order to apply for the test. Reference books for this purpose are available in leading bookstores. Always keep in mind to choose books of standardized publications
