Hi, what is the minimum educational criteria and other conditions to apply for Inspector or Sub-Inspector in Karnataka State Police (KSP)? Which exam do I need to write? When and how to apply for it?

KSP SI eligibility criteria:

The candidates applying for the post of police Sub Inspector in the state of Karnataka should pass secondary (10+2) examination from a recognised board or equivalent.

Physical standards:
Male-
Height: 168 cms minimum
Chest: 86 cms minimum upto 5 cms expansion

Female-
Height: 158 cms minimum
Weight: 45kgs minimum

At first the candidate will undergo physical standard test. Then there will be endurance test.

Male candidates have to run 1600 mts within 7 minutes and female candidates have to run 400 within 2 minutes.

Male candidates need to jump 3.8 metres and female 2.5 metres within 3 chances provided.

Male candidates need to cover 1.2 metres and female candidates need to cover 0.9 metres within 3 chances.

Male candidates will be given three chances to throw the 7.2 kg ball upto 5.6 metres and female candidates will be provided equal number of chances for throwing 4kg ball to 3.75.

Then there will be written examination.

Then the shortlisted candidates will be called for viva voice.
