Nice to hear from you that you want to become IPS officer.
IPS stands for Indian Police Services. Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Exam every year for the following services: * Indian Administrative Services(IAS) * Indian Police Services(IPS) * Indian Economic Services(IES) * Indian Foreign Services(IFS) Eligibility for UPSC : >> Candidate who have completed or in final year of graduation can apply for UPSC. >> Age limit for UPSC is between 21-30 years but 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidate & 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. As graduation is the main eligibility criteria for UPSC, you need to complete your graduation first & then you can apply for UPSC. You must have to apply online/offline for UPSC Civil Services Exam held every year starting in the month of May. For more information visit the website www.upsc.gov.in |

First of all you need to complete your graduation to be eligible to appear in IPS examination. Now you are in only intermediate so you need to complete your education. To become an IPS you can choose any of the subjects according to you. But according to me you should choose some of the subjects like History, geography, pol. Science, Economics which also helps in IPS examination. As you have to choose some optional subjects.
selection procedure:- Preliminary Mains Personal Interview. Eligibility criteria are as under:- Candidate must be an Indian citizen. Candidate must be a holder of graduation degree from a recognized university in any of the stream. candidate age should not less than 21 years and not exceed 30 years. Candidate should be physically fit. |
