What should be the minimum overall score in Graduation to be eligible to do B.Ed?

Hi, I have completed my BA General and scored 46.12% overall in my final year. So, now am I eligible to do B.Ed with this score from any UGC recognized universities? Do I need to write any entrance as well for B.Ed?

Minimum percentage of marks required in bachelor's degree is 50%. You can not apply for B.Ed entrance exam with less than 50% marks in bachelor's degree.

To be eligible for pursuing B.Ed. course, you should have completed graduation course (like B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, etc.) with at least 50% marks from a recognized institute.

However, there is relaxation in percentage for reserved category candidates.
  • 50 % for General and OBC
  • 45 % for SC, ST and PH

Since you have secured 46.12% in BA graduation course. So, in case you are SC/ST/PH, then you will be eligible for pursuing B.Ed. course.

Yes, entrance test is conducted for admission to B.Ed. course. In the entrance exam, you will have to face questions like:
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs
  • Verbal Aptitude
  • Teaching Proficiency Test
  • Logical Reasoning
