CA stands for the Chartered Accountancy. This course has three levels:

>>Common Proficiency Test.

>>Integrated Professional Competence Course.

>>CA Final examination.

So the first step to enter into Chartered Accountancy is the Common Proficiency test.

The eligibility criteria for this test is that you must have passed your 10+2 from a recognized board.

Even if you have passed the board examinations with passing percentage of marks, you are eligible for the exam. So there is no such specific percentage mentioned by the Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India.

ICAI conducts the CPT twice every year in the month of June and December respectively. This is an objective test of 200 marks consisting of questions from:

1. Fundamentals of Accounting

2. Economics

3. Quantitative Aptitude

4. Mercantile law.

CPT June exam was conducted on 14/06/2015, so you need to wait for the December CPT exam. For any more details about CPT exam, you can visit www.icai.org.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
