IFS Exam Details:-
  • After IAS and IPS exam IFS is one of the most prestigious civil service exam. The full form of IFS is Indian Forest Service. Union Public Service Commission conducts this examination whose notifications is usually released in the month of February.
  • To give this exam you need to be a citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan.
  • You need to have a degree in technology or engineering to give this exam. A degree in any one of the following subject would also do: Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Mathematics, Zoology, Statistics, Agriculture and Forestry.
  • You have to attain the minimum age of 21 years to give this exam. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for the reserved category candidates. It is up to three years for the OBC candidates and for SC/ST candidates it is up to five years.
  • Written Examination is of primary importance when selecting the deserving candidates for this post. This exam is followed by a personal interview session or personality test.
  • Questions for this exam will be of graduation level and it will be mainly descriptive type questions. The total time limit available is three hours and you need to answer all the questions in english.
  • There will be six papers to attempt in total and the first two papers are General English and General Knowledge. For the rest of the papers you will be asked to select two optional subjects from a list and questions will come from those two chosen subjects.
  • For the first two paper 300 marks each have been allotted. For the next four papers 200 marks each have been allotted. It is important to pass in the first two papers. On failing to do the rest of the papers won't be checked.
  • As mentioned earlier interview session too is of vital importance as 200 marks have been allotted for this. This session mainly aims to test various aspects of your character. Questions to test your integrity, your intellectual power, your analytical ability will be asked.

IFS stands for indian forest service exam and this exams is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services exams. Every year the UPSC has inviting the applications for eligible candidates.

For become a indian forest officer, and then you need to qualify the following required requirements like educational qualifications and age limit and also you need to see selection procedure given below.

Required Eligibility :

Required educational qualifications are become a indian forest officer is you must completed the graduation from below mention any one of the subject.
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science,
Botany,
Chemistry,
Geology,
Mathematics,
Physics,
Statistics and Zoology
Agriculture,
Forestry,
Engineering Degree.

And also required age limit should be 21-30 years and here age relaxation is also available for reserved category candidates as per govt rules such as 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.

And selection procedure is based on the written test and interview and apart from first conducted the written test and after qualifying the written test called for interview and after qualifying the interview you have the 1 year training provide and then you will be a IFS officer.

IFS Stands Indian Forest Services

Exam notification released on February / March
Exam conducted on July

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates must be a Indian
Candidates complete a Bachelor's Degree with at least one of the Subject
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science ,
Botany,Chemistry, Geology,Mathematics,Physics,Statistics & Zoology (OR) Bachelor degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University

Age Limit :

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years & must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st July of Exam conducted year
The Upper are limit for reserved candidates
3 year for OBC candidates
5 years for SC/ST candidates

Number of Attempts :

General candidates : 4 Times
OBC candidates : 7 Times

UPSC conducts IFS examination every year.

IFS is conducted in two sections:-


* Written examination.

* Interview.

The educational qualification regarding with IFS examination are below mentioned:-

* A candidate must be finished graduation in final year of graduation from any recognised college/university.

* Age criteria- The age of a candidate must be lie in between 21-30 years.

* No. of attempts- 4(General), 7(OBC) and no attempts(SC/ST).

IFS is Indian Forest Services and UPSC conducts examination every year for recruitment of Indian Forest Services Officers.

Te become eligible for IFS examination you must have Graduation in any of the following subjects:

-Veterinary Sciences

-Animal Husbandry

-Zoology

-Botany

-Geology

-Biochemistry

-Chemistry

-Forestry

-Mathematics

-Statistics

-Engineering

The age criteria for IFS examination is given below for different categories:

General Category - 21 to 30 years

OBC Category - 21 to 33 years

SC/ST Category - 21 to 35 years

The selection will be based on the performance in the written examination and personal interview.

The number of attempts for IFS exam for General and OBC categories are 4 and 7 .There is not limit for SC/ST category.

INDIAN FORESTRY SERVICES

I.F.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

For I.F.S you have to pass graduation with any one stream mention Bellow:-
> Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
> Botany
> Chemistry
> Geology
> Mathematics
> Physics
> Statistics
> Zoology
> Bachelor degree in Agriculture or Forestry

Age limit for I.F.S exam:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

In I.F.S exam there are three stage Of selection:-
> PRELIMS EXAM
> MAINS EXAM
> INTERVIEW
> MEDICAL EXAM(FOR I.P.S)
