I would like to know the syllabus for the forthcoming DEO/CEO exams, I would also like to know the commencement of the examination for the academic year 2013-14. I would be pleased to get an early answer....

TNPSC(Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) conducts DEO(District Education Officer)/CEO(Chief Executive Officer).To apply for this exam,you will require to meet these Eligibility conditions :-

Educational qualification :-

• Candidates should have a Post Graduation degree from recognized university.
• Candidates have completed their Post Graduation with one of these compulsory subjects : Tamil/English/Physics/Zoology/History/Chemistry.

Conditions :-

• Candidates should have a B.ed Degree and its degree should be from Tamil Nadu University.
• Candidates should have completed their Bachelor degree from the Tamil University/Any university from the state of Tamil Nadu.

Marks required :-

• General/MBC/BC category candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in Post Graduation.
• SC/ST category candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks in Post Graduation.

Age Required :-

• General Category candidates - Not above 30 years.
• Backward Class candidates - Not above 40 years.
• SC/ST Candidates - No Age Limit.

Exam Pattern :-

• This exam will include questions from 6 sections.
• Each section will include 30 questions.
• Total duration for this exam will be 3 hours.

Exam Syllabus :-

• Tamil Language and Literature.
• English Language and Literature.
• Physics.
• Chemistry.
• History.
• Zoology.
