The very first thing I would like to mention is that the National Talent Search Examination is only for the students studying in Class VIII. Since you are in Class IX, you won't be considered eligible for the examination.

However, as far as the syllabus is concerned, National Talent Search Examination comprise of two tests:

• Mental Ability Test
• Scholastic Aptitude Test

Both the sections carries multiple choice questions and the total number of question is each section is 90.

NTSE Exam Pattern:



Questions will come from the following sections:

1. Mental Ability Test (MAT)
2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

There will be 100 multiple choice type questions in this section and for every right answer you will get 1 marks. There is no negative marking.

100 MCQ type questions will be there in the SAT section as well. There will be questions from science, social science, mathematics.

You have to get minimum 40% of marks to qualify for the State level examination of NTSE.

The aggregate is however 35% in case of reserved categories.
