What is the syllabus for Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC)? I a m a Civil Engineer. How can I prepare for the exam? What is the passing criteria and application procedure?

MPSC exam can be cracked after qualifying three stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and Interview.

To qualify Prelims exam, you will have following syllabus to prepare for exam. There will be 2 objective papers in Prelims.
Objective Paper I - General Studies

• Current events, History of India (with special reference to Maharashtra) and Indian National Movement, Maharashtra, India and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of Maharashtra, India and the World.
• General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change, General Science.
• Maharashtra and India – Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights issues, Economic and Social Development

Objective Paper II - CSAT

• Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
• Decision – making and problem – solving.
• Comprehension
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• General mental ability and Basic quantitative aptitude

To pass MPSC exam, you will have to qualify all the three stages i.e. Prelims, Mains and then Personal Interview. There could be Physical Test but that is limited for specific posts only.

Steps to apply for MPSC

• Candidates can apply for MPSC exam through their official site i.e. mpsc.gov.in
• First step is registration process and then form filling.
• After that fee payment and then finally selection of exam center.
