Please help me to know what is TNPSC group exams?
I have completed my Master's degree in Bioinformatics.
Under what group i have to apply for TNPSC exam.??

Tamil nadu public service commission (TNPSC) is likewise any other state's public service commission.

It contains mainly 4 groups.

I will advice you to apply for group-1 & 2,they will b much better for you.

tnpsc exams are exams conducted by tamil nadu public service commission for recruitment for jobs in tamil nadu state government and other ministerial departments.

tnpsc-tamilnadu public service commision,it is the exam conducted by our tamilnadu government year by year if there is only need of employees.there are four groups in this exam they are group 1,2,3and 4,that is higher position to lower position.BE,MSC , etc...comes under group 1 and next level positions go for other 3 groups.

you can get jobs in various government posts which are devided into gruops from 1 to 4.

Since you have completed masters in bioinformatics you apply for any one of the following groups:
group 1,group 3, group 4

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission have to discharge the duties and functions specified in various Articles of the Constitution of India.

The main functions of the Commission are:

Make direct recruitment to State, Subordinate and Ministerial services;
Conduct department examinations for Government Servants and
Advice Government on all matters relating to framing of recruitment rules;
Advice Government on principles to be followed in making appointments and promotions and transfers from one service to another service;
Advice Government on disciplinary matters affecting Government Servants;
