Computer Science graduates can find various career opportunities in the present job market. The initial level salary for fresh candidates may be less. In reputed firms, they can expect salary with in the range of Rs. 8,000/- to Rs. 15,000/- per month. In medium level firms, the candidate can expect salary within the range of Rs. 6,000/- to Rs. 12,000/- per month. By gaining experience, the candidate can demand more salary packages. Salary packages also depend on the nature of the job and the level of responsibility associated.

SALARY FOR FRESHERS - COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEER?

The initial salary for a computer science engineer in the leading software companies which comes for campus placement will be around Rs. 20,000 - 25,000 per month..

-> There are companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook which pay Rs.50,000 - 60,000 for fresher too...

-> So it depends upon which company you get the job in...

-> If you ask me, then I will advice you not to see the salary because it will no where help you in your future.. the first 2 years where you going to work after completing your degree matters a lot with experience and not the salary in hand...

-> If you work hard and get more knowledge about the domain which you are working then you can move on with appraisal and promotion..

-> So forget about the money and concentrate on the work which you are going to start initially for your bright future...

Don't be worry about the Salary.
The Salary Is depend upon the Knowledge of Any Engineer .So don't think about salary.

When you asked me then i advice you get the experience of Computer Science.when your knowledge will increase there is demand for your Knowledge.

The Small companies will give you 15000-50000.
The Social Networking Sites like Facebook will give you between 50000-100000.

So please Increase your Knowledge and Go Ahead.

friend salary is depend on the knowledge & Experience of computer Science .
the small company will give you small package up to 8000-15000 pm.
If you expect for good salary then you will have to join good companies like
*-TCS
*-WIPRO
*-ASENCHER

Computer Science Engineering graduates are paid handsomely even in their first jobs. The above data is false speculation just to fill up the thread.

Being a comp. sci. student myself, I've been close on the campus placements going around the country for this stream.

Placements from elite colleges like IIIT,Hyderabad are upto the tune of 60lacs per annum which is approx. 5 lac per month. nowhere close to what the above guys said. The average placements there are as good as 9lacs per annum.

However in semi-elite colleges like Manipal Institute of technology, average placements have been around 6 lacs per annum, while the highest going up as high as 17 lac p.a.

In small or regular colleges, like most NIT's and rest colleges, the average packages hold around 3-4.5lacs p.a. and are usually better than what is offered to graduates of other branches.

The salary for a fresher computer engineer at a private bsector will be between 35000-40000 rs

but its my request plz apply for experience first and then for job

your salary will depend on your marks..and knowledge and skills..but it would be minimum 15000-/

i am a computer and science engineering student of maulana azad engineering college and technology of patna. will i get any problem in getting job or i will get the job easily after studying engineering from patna.

my question is i get less marks in cs eng but my ambition to become good software enggineer wether i get good salary or not

Dear Friend,

After completing your Engineering from Computer Science Branch you can get job in software companies along with few other core sector and Government sector companies.

In software companies, the gross salary i.e. cost to company will be 3.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs and you will get in hand between 20 thousand to 30 thousand.

The salary will be slightly higher for IITians.

But, if you are able to get in good companies then your salary may range upto 20 lakhs also.

There is no need to do any additional course to get good jobs after Engineering. You need to work on following things and try to improve as much as you can:

1. Concentrate on your 7 to 8 core branch subjects as much as possible
2. Improve communication skills
3. Improve current affairs
4. Improve aptitude and logical thinking

If you are selected in PSU.There all the computer science graduates will have
15,000-40,000 salary.
If you are selected in private companies or MNC's there you have attractive salaries compared to government sectors
Recently Facebook visited the IIT Bombay there a CS graduate got 86 lakhs per annum.Average salary it offered to CS graduate will be above 20 lakhs per annum
If you selected in Infosys.There they offered above 4 lakhs per annum.
Other companies like TCS,Satyam,Mahindra Infotech will offer avg.salary above 4 lakhs per annum.
all other small private companies offer minimum salary for CS graduate will be above 15,000 per month.

In India Information Technology is in good boom now. Hence the candidates who have completed
B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering or
B.Tech in Information Technology
are in good demand in these days.

The salary that is being offered for these candidates will be different from one company to other company.

With regard to MNCs, Microsoft is offering 16 Lakhs for B.Tech Freshers.

Many of the MNCs will easily offer a minimum of 3-5 Lakhs per anum for these candidates.

But the thing is. the candidates have to crack the selection procedure like
