in the month of june & december.
I am providing you a details of CA exam the steps of CA exam .....

Those candidate who have passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India
or
an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and passed CPT may join the Professional Competence Course.

These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first Sunday of the months of June and December.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA CPT Syllabus 2012:-


No. of papers:- One

Duration:- Four years

Marks:- 200

Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks

Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

EXAM DATE:-

June Examination:-

June 6th, 2010; June 5th, 2011; June 3rd, 2012.

December Examination:-

December 5th, 2010; December 4th, 2011; December 2nd, 2012

i secured jus 66% in cpt exam during 2011 june... i dint attend any classes,if i work hard am i eligible to attempt cpt exam again

hello dear,

as you scored only 66 marks out of 200 , you can complete the syllabus your self also,

but as the syllabus and marking scheme are changing you should not take risk,
clearing cpt nowadays has become tough,

so i would advice you to join tutions , in coachings they guide you as per exam requirements, so please join coachings for your betterment

as youn have not mentioned your place otherwise i would have provided you names of some good institutes for preparation

CPT exams or Common Profiency tests are held in June and December each year

Next CPT exams would be held in December 2013
Forms for this exam would be filled in October 2013

Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can apply

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General Economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass
There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer.

CPT exams fees-Rs 1000

Fees for CPT Registration is:
Application Form-Rs 100
CPT registration fees-Rs 6000
Total Rs 6100
