Re: When will be the next NET exam?
National Eligibility Test is biyearly entrance exam. It is conducted in the months of June and December. As you can see the National Eligibility Test recently concluded couple of months back.
Now you will have to wait for the December exam. As for now University Grants Commission has not released the notification for next exam. The exact dates for the next exam will only be mentioned in the next notification. You should not expect notification from the University Grants Commission anytime before October/November. Till then if you are eligible for the National Eligibility Test, start preparing for it. National Eligibility Test is conducted for Junior Research Fellowship and College Lectureship. As far as qualification criteria is concerned, it remains the same for both. Its only the age criteria which is different. Please see the criteria in detail below:- NET Eligibility 1. As for now only Indian nationals are eligible for NET. 2. You must have obtained a post graduation degree. 3. Your marks in the course should be 55 percent or more. 4. There is 5% relaxation for SC/ST. 5. No relaxation is offered for OBC by University Grants Commission. 6. You are allowed to appear for exam during final year as well. 7. Subject for the exam will depend on your post graduation degree. 8. The age limit is 19 (min) and 28 (max) for Junior Research Fellowship. 9. It is relaxed by 3 years for Other Backward Classes. 10. Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe are given 5 years relaxation. 11. There is no upper age limit for lectureship. |
