The Application form can be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) :

The Anna University (Chennai) will conduct the 2011 edition of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2011) on May 29 and 30, 2011.
The form can also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

You can also download the form online through the website www.annauniv.edu.

The completed application (registered through Internet) should reach The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University Chennai, Chennai 600 025 on or before 26.04.2010, by 5.30 p.m. The Applications received after the due date and time will not be considered at any cost.

The application form is only for applying for the Common Entrance Test for admissions to M.B.A. / M.C.A. / M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes.

The forms can be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
Hall Tickets will be issued to the candidates who come in person to the following Co-ordinating Centres with a copy of 10th Std. mark sheet and 12th Std. mark sheet (or 3 years Diploma Certificate) and cash or Demand Draft (A single DD is sufficient for one or more programme) for the required amount towards Entrance Test fee.
REGISTRATION THROUGH INTERNET:
+Candidates who have completed their UG/PG Degree or in the Final Semester/Year are eligible to apply for TANCET 2010.
+To Apply INTERNET click “ I Agree” to open the Internet Application Form.
+All the fields must be entered. No field should be left blank.
+After Entry of your details in all fields click “Submit” button; a confirmation page will appear, check all your details shown on the page if any corrections click “Cancel” else click “Ok”.
+Note down your Application Number for future reference……. then Click “Ok” button. Important instructions to candidates screen will appear. Read all the instructions carefully and then click “Print”.
+After taking print out paste your passport size photo, sign in the appropriate place,enclose a valid Demand Draft for required fee amount and send it to ” The Secretary TANCET 2010, Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai ,Chennai-600 025 on or before 26-04-2010, 5.00 p.m.
Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai-600 025
Tamilnadu SC/ST Candidates only,must attach a photocopy of their Permanent Community Certificate with the application.
The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/-for SC / SCA / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate) as entrance test fee for any one of the Programmes either (1) M.B.A. or (2) M.C.A. or (3) M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./ M.Plan.

The Anna university will conduct the 2011 edition of the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2011) on May 29 & 30 of 2011.

This exam is for the students who are aspiring to join MBA, MCA, ME/Mtech/M.Arch/M.plan post graduate degree courses.

Application form is common for the all three entrance tests. The candidates have to submit only one application form. The candidates have to pay a fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for ST and SC candidates of Tamilnadu ) as entrance test fee for any of the program.

If a candidates wants to appear for more than one program, he has to pay an addition fee of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC, ST ) for each additional program he appears.

TANCET Eligibility

MBA: A pass in any recognised Bachelor’s degree with 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 years or a pass in any degree with 10 + 3 years diploma + 3 years pattern.

MCA: a) A pass in any recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (10 + 2 + 3 / 4 years pattern) in any discipline with core Mathematics (or) Business Mathematics at +2 level or A pass in any recognised Bachelor’s degree with 10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern with Mathematics at Diploma level or Mathematics or Statistics* as one of the subjects at the degree level or A pass in any recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (10 + 2 + 3 pattern) in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics* as any one of the subjects.

M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan.: A pass in i. B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. degree programme (or) ii. B.Pharm / B.Sc. (Agri./Forestry/Horticulture/ Fishery) degree programme (or) iii Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, .

TANCET 2011 notification has not come yet. It will come in the Month End or starting week of April.

Tancet Application Form are Available in Two modes,

One is through Offline from Different Colleges like Annamalai university, Govt. College of Tech. , Govt.. Polytechnic College, Institute of Toad and Transport technology and many more.

Hall tickets will be issued if candidates who come in person to the above coordinating Centers with a copy of 10th Std. mark sheet and 12th Std. mark sheet & cash or Demand Draft(Specified in TANCET 2011 Site.)

Then you will have to go to the online registration page, fill the details, save and submit it. After taking a print out of the filled application paste the passport size photo and sign it. Then you will have to send it along with the demand draft of the fee which should be in favour of The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai-600 025.
