Sorry your not eligible for the CSAT examination having 36 years of age.

Age criteria
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2011,i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1981 and not later than 1st August, 1990 for the exam which is going to be held on 12th June,2011.
The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable :

1.Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a
Scheduled Tribe.

Since your above 35 you cannot apply for the examination.

The maximum age limit to be eligible for the civil service exam is 35 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
As per you date of birth, next year, i.e. in 2012, your age will be 36 and hence, you won't be eligible to apply for the exam.

Sorry my friend you wont be able to give IAS exams because even after adding up the SC category benefits you get the maximum age limit goes to 30 + 5 = 35,and as you have said you have already crossed that age..you should have given it a consideration one or two years back.

dear friend,
Eligibility criteria for IAS exam:-

Educational qualification:-

*The candidate must have complete the graduation from any field..
*The candidate should not have any due backlogs during the graduation.

Age criteria:-

*The candidates age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the age relaxation is 3 years.

As you have mentioned that you are from SC category and you have already reached the age 36 years then you are not eligible for IAS exam..
Because for SC category the upper age is relax-able up to 5 years not more than that..
So, sorry you are not eligible for IAS exam..
All the best..

You will not be eligible to apply for IAS exam as you are over 35 years, the relaxed upper age limit for SC/ST candidate.

IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IAS officer one should appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years of age.

The upper age is relaxed for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years.

Hence you are not eligible for Civil Service exam due to your over age.
