Students who have appeared for class 12th Board exams in the year 2017 and again appeared for an Improvement exam in the session 2019 are eligible to apply for NEET in the upcoming session or not?

Candidates who are appearing for the class 12 or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply for NEET 2020. Candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2020.

12th boards marks are not counted in calculating your NEET Score but they are needed to help you appear for the exam. NEET Score is the sole basis to help you fetch your MBBS seat. The class 12th Boards marks does not have any impact on the medical aspirant's position in the merit list of the medical colleges.

The minimum education required for appearing in the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a Class 12th in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised board of education. Marks relaxation upto 10% is allowed in case of reserved category candidates.

So, if you satisfy the above mentioned educational requirement for appearing in the same examination, then you are eligible for appearing in NEET irrespective of number of attempts taken by you to qualify your Class 12th board examinations.

For complete details regarding NEET, you can refer to the link www.ntaneet.nic.in.

It depends on your age rather than your 12th class passing time .

The upper age limit for NEET UG 2020 for General category students is 25 years and 30 years for reserved category and PWD candidates.

Yes, you are eligible for NEET examination this year , if you fulfil age criteria.
