Sir, I am Msc Mathematics student and I have got two statistics paper.
Now my question is that, am I eligible for ISS exam.....???

ISS i.e Indian Statistical Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. This year exam notification was already released and last date for receipt of application also already closed. The examination will be held in the month of May 19th 2014.

To apply for this examination the applicant must have a completed Bachelor's degree with Mathematics/Statistical/Applied Statistics or Master degree with Mathematics/Statistical/Applied Statistical from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination. The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. Upper age limits is applicable.

As per your qualification you are definitely eligible to apply for this examination. This year examination will held in the month of May and Next exam notification will be available in the month of March or Feb in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper.

ISS Stands for Indian Statistical Service

There are criteria's which are needed to be satisfied in order to satisfied in order to apply for the ISS exam.

ELIGIBILITY NEEDED:

>> Nationality

>> Age Limit

>> Education qualification


# The candidate appearing for the exam must have a Citizenship in India as per the Nationality standard.

# The age limit needed for the exam is that the candidate must have 21-30 years of age for General category candidate.

# There are certain upper age relaxation for other category candidates and for the SC/ST candidate it is 21-35 years and for OBC it is 21-33 years.There are relaxation for Ex-service men it is 5 years exception.

# Education qualification for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a Degree from a recognized university with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects.


If you tend to satisfy these above mentioned criteria's then you can apply for the ISS Exam

Indian statistics service ( ISS) is a civil service examination conducted by UPSC.
Candidates must be master's degree in statistics/ mathematics/applied statistics from recognised or foreign university approved by the Central government of India.
Age limit- 21 years to 30 years.
