Detailed information about IBPS RRB VII Assistant Manager recruitment? Job profile of Assistant Manager under IBPS RRB VII?


Respected Sir, I have heard about the recruitment of Assistant Manager in IBPS RRB VII. I don’t know what it is all about. So, I would like to know about this recruitment in details. Kindly tell me the job role of Assistant Manager under IBPS RRB VII also.

Assistant Manager - Officer Scale I

Educational Qualification Required:-

@ You should have passed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.

@ You must have proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRBs

@ You should have working knowledge of computer and this is desirable.

Age Criteria required:- (Assistant Manager - Officer Scale I)

@ Minimum age required - 18 years
@ Maximum age allowed - 30 years
Age Criteria is considered as on 1st June, 2018 and of course there will be an age relaxation applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

Some of the responsibilities include, you are required to bring the banking services in the rural areas of India. You are required to become a Multi Tasked and you must to handle the bundle of duties. You are required to provide credit facility to the rural areas and need to involve in the regular banking activities. You need to maintain the credit profile and need to involve in the recovery of the loans..etc.,

IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a board that conduct recruitment process for various officer and clerical level posts in nationalised and regional rural banks working in India and if you want to apply for the post of Assistant Manager in IBPS RRB then you must know few things about this recruitment :

All candidates who have bachelor's degree can apply for this recruitment but age of the candidate should be between 18 and 30 years and maximum age is 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates can process online application for this recruitment through its official website and register for this recruitment by giving all required information correctly and paying fee for this recruitment which is 100/- for SC/ST and 600/- for General and OBC category candidates.

Online applications for this recruitment can be processed between 08th June 2018 and 02nd July 2018 so hurry up and apply as soon as possible.

Assistant Manager is second line officer in a bank branch who is responsible for all routine work verification done by clerical staff and daftary as well.

Whatever entered and created/ opened today in the branch will be checked, verified and completed by Assistant Manager of the branch.

Assistant manager gives permission to clerical staff and special assistants in the bank for working and making entries of various work received in the branch like giving them tasks for the day to complete work.

Assistant Manager is responsible for checking and verification of cash management in the branch means in both single and double locks of the branch and also taking care and management of lockers of the branch.

Assistant manager is responsible for payment of TDS and other taxes of the bank and staff on time and filing TDS every single quarter as per data available in the branch.

Assistant Manager is also called Accountant in few banks who is responsible for working all accounts related and verification of various accounts related work happening in the branch by staff.

Assistant Manager works as a manager when manager is not in the branch means all things which goes as per order of the manager will go as per order of assistant manager when manager is not present in the branch and rest staff will ask assistant manager for any work/duty/problem.

Assistant Manager is responsible to reply emails received from Zonal Office/ Regional Office/ Head Office of the bank regarding any target given for deposit and advances and other data required by higher authorities so providing them on time.

Assistant Manager is responsible for recovery of the advances on time and taking consolidated reports everyday if any loan/advance is going overdue or NPA or slipping or right off then take care of that advance on time.

Assistant Manager is also responsible for solving various deposit, advance, digital banking, accounts, resources, facilities and other banking problems of various customers and guiding them right way.

Assistant manager can teach clerical staff and other zero scale staff about the right work and any updates in the software made by the data centre of the bank so assistant manager will learn first then teach other staff.

Assistant manager has the duty to keep checking cash remitted in the branch from other bank/ branch and ensuring proper availability of cash as per demand of the customers.

Assistant manager ensure other facilities for customers available in the branch such as updated interest chart, availability of cash and transfer vouchers in the branch, availability of water in the branch, and other quick on demand services such as over the counter cheque books, Instant ATM Card, Opening of accounts if any urgent etc.

Assistant Manager will check and sign all documents of advances and forms of account opening and other everyday vouchers on his own responsibility so you can see a lot of duties for assistant manager.

IBPS is conducting Common Recruitment Process for RRBs ( Regional Rural Banks ) for the recruitment of Group "A" Officer ( Scale I,II and III ) and Group B Office Assistant ( Multipurpose ).

Candidates are advised to keep in touch with the official website of IBPS http://www.ibps.in

Eligibility Criteria for Assistant manager recruitment:
  • Age of candidate must be above 18 years and below 30 years as on 1st June 2018. Relaxation is also there as per government norms:

-For SC/ST candidates : 5 years
-For OBC Candidates : 3 years
-For PwD Candidates : 10 years
-Ex-Servicemen : 5 years
  • Candidates domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir during 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 : 5 years
  • Candidates affected during 1984 riots : 5 years
  • Candidate must posses graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent.
  • Candidate must be proficient in local language prescribed by respective RRB.
  • Selected candidate have to go through training of 2 years, also known as probation period. After completion of training, candidate will be promoted to the rank of Assistant Manager.


    Job profile of Assistant Manager under IBPS RRB VII :
  • Regulation of banking activities : Management of all function of bank and making sure that all activities are happening properly and in time.
  • Credit and Loan Facility : Promotion of Credit facility and Loans.
  • Repayment of Loan : management of official records of loans and reminding different entities about repayment of loans.
