Sir, I am serving Junior Commissioned Officer Clerk Trade in Indian Army and will be released on June 2022. My civil education qualification is 12th pass & completed 24 years service in the Army. Am eligible for IBPS clerk exam?

The first thing I would like to mention here is that in general, the minimum education required for appearing in the IBPS bank Clerk examination is a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

But, ex-servicemen who are not graduate but have a matriculation certificate along with 15 years of service and having been awarded the Army Special Certificate of Education or its equivalent in the Air Force or Navy are also eligible.

So, being a non graduate ex-serviceman, you are eligible for appearing in the IBPS bank clerk examination if you are rewarded with Army Special Certificate of Education otherwise not.

Eligibility:-

1- The applicant must possess graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

2- The applicant must possess a valid marksheet of graduation on the day they register and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registering.

He/she should be a citizen of India. Candidate with a minimum age of 20 years and maximum of 28 years (As on 23.09.2020). Upper age limit relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to the reserved category. Candidates must have obtained a bachelors' degree in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government


The candidate must posses computer literacy.

Education qualification for IBPS clerk for Indian Army ex servicemen:-

The candidate must be a graduate from any recognised institution or university recognised by the central government. The candidate must have scored at least 50% of their graduation. basic in computer knowledge as all the banking processes are held online and also the proficiency in the local language is a must.

Aspirants in the final year of their graduation over waiting for their reserves are not eligible to sit for exams. It is complete IBPS PO eligibility for ex servicemen.

The candidate must be a graduation from any recognised institution or university recognised by the central government.
The candidate must have scored at least 50% in their graduation. Basic in computer knowledge as all the banking processes are handled online and also the proficiency in the local language is a must.

The basic eligibility criteria required to be eligible for this recruitment is given below,

Name of the organization- IBPS

Name of the job position- Clerk

>> As far as my best knowledge is concerned, you are eligible for this recruitment.

>> Exservicemen should have atleast Matriculation certificate along with 15 years of service.

>> You must have been awarded Army special certificate of the education or its equivalent in airforce or navy.

IBPS Clerk Educational Qualification- Salient points
Ex-servicemen who are not graduates should at least have a matriculation certificate along with 15 years of service. They should have been awarded the Army Special Certificate of Education or its equivalent in the Air Force or Navy.

Minimum educational qualification required for IBPS Clerk is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.
It is also same for Ex-serviceman candidates.
You can pursue graduation from distance mode also and there will be no any objection regarding this.
Relaxation is given only in age and aggregate marks.

IBPC clerk education qualification:- Bachelor's degree in any stream from recognised University. Apply for IBPS clerk exam.
Age limit minimum 21 years to 28 years.
Age relaxation for ex - servicemen - 5 years Age relaxation for ex servicemen.

Is computer certificate compulsory for ibps clk exam 2022 for ex service man.

What is the certificate mentioned in clause J (viii) in IBPS notification 2023?? Is it required before exam ???
