Hello friends, can anyone of you let me know about the exemption which is available in SSC-CHSL recruitment for SC/ST/OBC candidates? I belongs to an OBC category and I want to know about the exemptions available for me. Please tell me asap. Thank you!

There is relaxatiin in age limit, cut off and other procedure to appear for the examination.

The examination is conducted in three stages. You have to appear and qualify in all stages for final selection.

Exemption available for SSC-CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) recruitment is:

For SC/ST age relaxation is 5 years.

For OBC age relaxation is 3 years.

Application Fee for OBC category applicants is Rs. 100/- . SC/ST applicants are exempted from fee.

Exemptions available in SSC CHSL recruitment for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates are mentioned below:-

—> Upper age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ ST category candidates.

—> SC/ ST category candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

SSC CHSL Recruitment:

~~ Exemption for SC/ST/OBC candidate:

** Age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years and for OBC is 3 years.

** Application Fee Rs.100 for OBC candidates and no fee for SC/ ST candidates.

There are some exemptions available for reserved category candidates in terms of age limit and application fee for examination of SSC CHSL.

>>The general age criteria for the examination is 18-27 years. Candidates belonging to OBC get upper age relaxation of three years.

SC/ST candidates are eligible for five years upper age relaxation.

>>SC/ST candidates are also exempted from application fee.

In case of SSC CHSL examination, there is provision of upper age limit relaxation of 3 years and 5 years in case of OBC category and SC/ST category candidates respectively.

Further, these category candidates avail the facility of reservation as per the government norms which is 27% in case of OBC candidates, 15% in case of SC candidates, and 7.5% in case of ST candidates. This reservation of seats results in the relaxation in the qualifying marks for the same examination.

PH - 10 years
PH + OBC - 13 years
PH + SC/ST - 15 years

Relaxation in upper age limit is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 13 years for PwD (OBC) and 15 years for PwD (ST/SC).

Application fee for OBC candidates is Rs. 100/-. ST/SC candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
