How to become a DRM?
What is the procedure of getting a job as DRM. I am studying intermediate with MPC? Is there any scholarship from the railways in this regard?

The post of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) comes under Grade A officers in Indian Railways and recruitment in Grade A is done through UPSC Civil Services Examination.
One who wishes to become a Divisional railway Manager has to appear for Indian Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC. After clearing the exam, one is first posted as Assistant Divisional Railway Manager. After about 3+ years of service, they will be promoted to Divisional Railway Manager. Eligibility criteria for UPSC civil services exam :- -The candidate should be an Indian. -The candidate should have completed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. -The age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 32 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. -The no. of attempts for the exam is 4 times for general category under the creamy layer,7 times for OBC candidates and no limits for SC/ST candidates. -Selection criteria : *Preliminary Exam *Main exam *Personality Interview. |
