How to become a police officer / an IPS officer In Karnataka??? What are the qualification required to become a Sub Inspector??

After completing BCom, you are eligible to become an IPS officer. For that, you have to appear for the UPSC civil services examination and get a qualifying score to become an IPS officer.

To become an IPS officer , candidate has to pass CSE exam conducted by UPSC .

The CSE exam is also the qualifying exam for other services such as IAS, IRS and IFS.
The selection is made through CSE along with more than 20 services.

The exam consists of 3 stages
Preliminary exam
Main exam
Interview.

The age limit is 21 to 32 years.

To become sub-inspector you have to qualify in the examination conducted by the respective state government or at Central level by SSC as CPO.

Recruitment as IAS/IPS is made after qualifying in all three stages of Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC. For more information about the Civil Service Examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

For IPS, Sub-inspector the required educational qualification is bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
