Can someone please give a detail of pwd department and how can i clear entrance exam of pwd to a good job there and settle my life?

PWD, is Public work department.
You can join PWD at group A or group B level govt job.

For Group B, you can join as junior engineer(electrical, mechanical, civil). Recruitment is done by SSC.

For group A, you can apply for IES exam (Electrical, mech, civil ). Recruitment is done by UPSC.

Eligibility criteria

For general category, it is 21-28 years age group.
You must be a graduate in above mentioned fields.

These exams are generally conducted in May/June. Notifications comes in Jan/Feb.

For preparation, there are coaching available for both SSC and IES exam.
For IES, MADE EASY , ACE ACADEMY , IES MASTER
