I am preparing for a government job and i am confused that in our beloved country India how is the better than a Private Job.

Most people think the Government job is better than a private job in India and the reason behind this thought process is government job is more secure than the private sector and employees can even keep their jobs when the economy is down. A government sector is less stressful than a private sector but there are certain drawbacks in both sectors.

Government Job - This job has laid back attitude, they are not eager to take much workload and go the extra mile. They are not interested in learning new things which is relevant to the work, make more mistakes and people have to visit a government office certain times to make corrections and this attitude is because they have a secure job and steady income which makes them like this. This job has a routine and fixed job description and they get good perks and allowances, medical facilities and post-retirement benefits, you can spend more time with your family and for yourself that is the reason in Indian people are more fond of government jobs.

Private Job - This job has its own pros and cons, as job security is not there you can get fired anytime for any mistake or blunder without any prior notice. This job has a little less cumbersome hiring process and the pay scale is high but they do not give any extra benefits or allowance or post job benefits. Increments are standardized in government jobs but they are annual in a private jobs. Private job has zero job security than the government. This job has flexible timings which means that you have to complete your work at any cost and have to stay in the office for a fixed number of hours no matter when you arrive.

A government job does not come only with a good salary but also comes with other benefits which will make you think why should you work in the government sector.
The middle class family usually preferred government jobs because there are some benefits in government jobs that the private sector does not give.

I think that the working hours is the plus point for preferring government jobs over private jobs.
There is also job security.
Public-sector brings Health Care benefits as well such as life insurance.
Work-related stress appears to be less in government job due to job security and predetermined promotion cycle.
They have a fixed working hours which maintains work life balance.

Government jobs are better than private ones because of the benefits they provide like Job security, work-life balance, bonuses, fixed working hours, medical benefits, good salary, a decent amount of off-days and they are more secure than private jobs.
