Mostly, the recruits for STF are selected internally from present police or para military force personnel. There is no specialised recruitment for this force. There is training given to selected candidates who are already serving.

Hence, make sure you first join police forces or even pars military forces. You can get into STF later on, if you are considered fit for it.
