Number of JCO Religious Teacher vacancies available in Indian Army recruitment are given below:

Pandit – 78
Padit (Gorkha) for Gorkha Regiments – 3 (only Hindu (Gorkha) candidates)
Granthi – 6
Maulvi (Sunni) – 5
Maulvi (Shia) for Ladakh Scouts – 1 (only Ladakhi Muslim Shia candidates)
Padre – 2
Bodh Monk (Mahayana) for Ladakh Scouts – 1 (only Buddhist (Mahayana) candidates

Note: The above mentioned vacancies are tentative and may be changed at any stage

According to the notification released by Indian Army, around 98 vacancies are available for JCO Religious Teacher post. There are separate vacancies for Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, etc religious teachers.
Hence, make sure you are applying according to your qualification. Selection will be on merit.
