I am a BSc(Nursing) graduate and I have heard about the ITBP Medical Officer recruitment. Can I know about the requirements to apply for this recruitment as a Medical Officer. Kindly tell me about the number of vacancies also.

Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant)- 175 posts.

Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant)- 317 posts.

Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second in Command)- 4 posts.

There are 317 Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant) vacancies available in the ITBP Medical Officer recruitment.

The requirements to apply for the Medical Officer vacancies are given below:

Candidates should have a recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicines included in the First or Second schedule or Part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub Section (3) of Section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act (1956). Candidates should have permanent registration from any State Medical Council / MCI before appointment.

Candidates who may be undergoing the rotating internship shall be eligible to apply and appear for the interview provided if selected; they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory rotating internship before appointment.

Candidates should not be exceeding 30 years for the Medical Officer recruitment

The number of vacancies available in ITPB Medical Officer recruitment are 496. Details of vacancies according to post-wise are mentioned below:-
