Job profile of Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard?


Hello Sir/Madam, I am interested to join as an Assistant Commandant through Indian Coast Guard. But I would like to know that what I have to do under this post? What would be my job role? And kindly tell me the selection procedure as well. Thank you!

Job Profile of Assistant Commandant in Indian Coast Guard are as follows:-

To conduct regular patrols to keep the offshore development areas, under surveillance to enforce maritime laws, and help to ensure safety and security.

To collect meteorological and oceanographic data for analyses and use by national maritime scientific laboratories.

To carry out regular Community Interaction Programmes to guide the fisher-folk about safety at sea.

To preserve the marine ecology and pollution control such as through oil spills.

To coordinates with enforcement agencies and custom department to prevent smuggling activities.
