Job role and pay scale of Trade Apprentices under CPCL?


Respected Sir, Can I know the job role of Trade Apprentices in CPCL? I have applied in CPCL recruitment and now I want to know about the job role as well as the pay scale for this particular post under this recruitment.

The job role of Trade Apprentices in CPCL includes:

1. Fitter: The apprentice will be responsible for fitting and assembling parts to form complete units or subunits, using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures.

2. Welder: The apprentice will be responsible for welding metal parts together, using gas torch or arc welding equipment.

3. Electrician: The apprentice will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

4. Mechanic: The apprentice will be responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, and pumps.

5. Machinist: The apprentice will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precision metal parts.

The pay scale for Trade Apprentices under CPCL varies depending on the trade and the duration of the apprenticeship. The minimum stipend for the first year is Rs. 10,000 per month, while the maximum stipend for the third year is Rs. 12,000 per month.

Trade Apprentices under CPCL are responsible for learning and assisting in various technical and non-technical tasks as per their chosen trade. They will be trained in various aspects of the refinery operations, maintenance, and administrative functions. They will also be involved in routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors.

As for the pay scale, the selected candidates will receive a stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. The stipend for Trade Apprentices under CPCL ranges from Rs. 8,050 to Rs. 9,000 per month, depending on the trade they have applied for. Additionally, they may also be eligible for other benefits such as medical insurance and accommodation (if required).
