Is it mandatory to know Hindi for getting a government job in India? What are the government jobs in India which doesn't need Hindi at all? Can you please list me down those jobs and let me know what steps I need to follow for the same?

As any language is necessary for communication. Therefore, as Hindi is national language of India. It is expected every citizen to be familiar with Hindi language for communication purpose.

All government jobs have employees from different states and have different languages. So, every citizen can easily communicate through Hindi language as most of the citizens know Hindi language.

You should know a little bit of Hindi but it is not necessary. Our country has different states and every state has its own language. But it is not possible to learn every language then if you know English then it will be ok but if you know Hindi it will help you in various states. That is why it is important to know a little bit of Hindi also.

It is not compulsory to know Hindi for various state government jobs. But you should know the state government language like Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi etc. For getting a job you need to have the required qualification which may vary from one post to other. So you can apply for government jobs without knowing Hindi.
