In Ministry of Defence, a technical assistant of Quality Assurance department can be considered as a gazetted officer?

A person joined ministry of defence quality assurance department as a technical assistant in the grade pay of Rs.4200/-. Can he be treated as a gazatted officer? |

Technical assistant doesn't come under Group A. You need to have the highest post in the department to get the gazetted officer designation. The job you are doing comes under Group B which is lower post.
Hence, for becoming a gazetted officer you need to get promotion to upper level job. |
