Hi everyone, I would like to know about the age limit for the recruitment of Stenographer in Staff Selection Commission. And also tell me what would be the pay scale for such a post?

Pay scale allotted to the Stenographers recruitment in the Staff Selection Commission is given below:

Stenographer Grade C – Pay Scale – Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 + Grade Pay – Rs 4,200 (Pay Band 2)

Stenographer Grade D – Pay Scale – Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,200 + Grade Pay – Rs 2,400 (Pay Band 1)

Age limit to apply for the Stenographers recruitment in the Staff Selection Commission is given below:

Stenographer Grade C – 18 years to 30 years as on 1st January, 2020

Stenographer Grade D – 18 years to 27 years as on 1st January, 2020

Upper age relaxation available:

For SC/ST – 5 years

For OBC – 3 years

For PH – 10 years

For PH (OBC) – 13 years

For PH (SC/ST) – 15 years

The starting salary of Staff Selection Commission Stenographer C Grade recruitment may range from Rs. 9,000/- to Rs. 34,500/- and above per month along with a Grade pay of Rs. 4,200/- per month.

For Grade D the salary may range from Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- and above per month along with Grade pay of Rs. 2,400/- per month.

Pay scale allotted to Stenographers through Staff Selection Commission:--

For Group C

Pay Scale: Rs.9300 to 34800
Grade Pay: Rs 4200 (Pay Band 2)
Total pay: Rs 14,500


For Grade D

Pay Scale: Rs 5200 – 20200
Grade Pay: Rs 2400 (Pay Band 1)
Total Pay: Rs 7,600

Age limit to apply:--

Applicants must have age between 18 to 27 years.

Category Wise Age Relaxation:--

For PH + Gen --> 10 years

For PH + OBC --> 13 years

For PH + SC/ST --> 15 years

For OBC --> 3 years

For Ex-Servicemen (Gen) --> 3 years

For ST/SC --> 5 years

For Ex-Servicemen (OBC) --> 6 years

For Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) --> 8 years
