Procedure to become a District Commissioner:-

You cannot be a district commissioner straightway.
You will need to give the UPSC exams arranged by the government of India, after completing your Bachelors degree. If you qualify it, then based on your rank you may take IAS ( Indian Administrative Services) as your area and then if you complete the training, only then you will be given a public chair.

You will have to start as a Development Officer and then build up your career to be a district commissioner.

Selection procedure:-

Preliminary exam
Mains exam
Personal interview and group discussion.

To become a DCP, you have to qualify for the IPS exam. However, IPS are the only ones who get promoted to the senior post hi as SP or DCP. Moreover, you need to crack the IPS exam at your initial stage to become a deputy commissioner. Later, you will be considered a high-level government Aspirant.good luck
